Getting to Cathays Community Centre

The Community Centre is located in Cathays in central Cardiff. We have excellent transport links with bus, train, and bike share, all within close proximity. The Community Centre does not have its own car parking, but on-street parking is available.

Driving

The community centre does not have a dedicated car park. Parking is limited in directly outside the community centre.

Pay and Display Zones C1/C2 are active between 8 am and 6 pm and free outside these hours.

2 Hour parking is available outside the community centre on Cathays terrace. There is a 15 min drop-off point at the front of the community centre next to the bus stop.

For short stays, Lidl car park can be used, although they have a strict 90-minute policy per day.

Cardiff Council Parking App / Or pay by phone using the number displayed on the parking signs / There is also the option of paying at the machine on museum avenue.

Parking is plenty on museum avenue.

Accessibility

– Wheelchair access.  Wheelchair access is provided in the form of a drop-curb at the front of the building with a wide entrance to the site and a large front door to the cafe and main reception.
– Wide hallways with ramps for wheelchairs to get through and double door entrances to both our main halls and main hall reception area. Unfortunately, ramp access to Reeltime Recording Studio and our Meeting Room is unavailable.
– Disabled toilet on site with hoist available (personal carer required) and also a changing station for children.
