{"id":9672,"date":"2025-11-04T13:17:11","date_gmt":"2025-11-04T13:17:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cathays.org.uk\/?p=9672"},"modified":"2025-11-04T13:19:33","modified_gmt":"2025-11-04T13:19:33","slug":"cardiff-half-marathon-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cathays.org.uk\/cy\/2025\/11\/04\/cardiff-half-marathon-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Cardiff Half Marathon 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On\u00a0<strong><em>Sunday 5<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0October\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>we truly saw the spirit of community, as we all came together to celebrate Cardiff Half Marathon 2025.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Surprisingly, the luck was completely on our side with the weather, which allowed us to host\u00a0numerous\u00a0events at Cathays Community Centre, as well as supporting the runners.\u00a0We even\u00a0gathered in the garden to host a cycling event, to raise money for the\u00a0after-school\u00a0clubs\u00a0that take place at the centre.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We do want to say a huge thank you to everyone who made the effort to come to the centre, and especially to those that donated!&nbsp;Theres still a long way to go to help support the after-school clubs, so if you can, please donate here:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/localgiving.org\/fundraising\/CCYCP-After-school-clubs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/localgiving.org\/fundraising\/CCYCP-After-school-clubs<\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the incredible runners was our one of our very own, Emily Redmond. With multiple months of preparation, we knew that as a community we needed to cheer her on for that very final stretch.
