board. They meet monthly on the third Tuesday of every month. They also meet in the intervening Tuesdays at strategic subcommittees.<\/p>\n<p>In December every year, we host an Annual General Meeting. There was also a front entrance building that was where the garden and caf\u00e9 now are but this was later demolished. <\/span><span class=\"JsGRdQ\">When Cathays and Central Youth and Community Project\u202f(CCYCP)\u202fwas set up as a charity by the community around 1978, the back building was partitioned into an independent Bingo Club on one side and Cathays Community Centre, managed by CCYCP on the other.\u202fInitially,\u202f CCYCP was run\u202fby volunteers and soon the management committee secured funding for a\u202ffull-time\u202fyouth and community worker and part-time youth staff.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span class=\"JsGRdQ\"><span class=\"JsGRdQ\">In 1991 the Council\u202f built a new building at the front that housed the advice\u202fcentre,\u202fa caf\u00e9 and meeting rooms.\u202f In 1995 the Bingo Club\u202fwent bankrupt and closed, and that side of the building was left by the Council to enter a state of disrepair. <\/span><span class=\"JsGRdQ\">By the late 90s there were new activities and interests emerging mostly around a youth provision that included innovative work with young people with disabilities and the music rehearsal rooms that had been built and later in 2009 the front and back buildings were joined to make a new reception area.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"_04xlpA direction-ltr align-justify para-style-title\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span class=\"JsGRdQ\"><strong>Today you will find that CCYCP\u202fmanages a vibrant Community Centre that has an independent Caf\u00e9, Recording Studio, Bakery together with its own meeting room, two large halls, music rehearsal rooms, social space, and recording studio.<\/strong> It also operates a wide range of youth provisions and other community projects. We have a huge range of independent groups and classes that hi<\/span>re the space.
